Return Journey was recorded several years ago when Pete joined Dave Arthur and Chris Moreton to look at the musical connections and cross-overs between the British Isles and the Appalachians. After the recording, Rattle On the Stovepipe (the title from one of the tunes) became the name of the band and they went on to record 8 More Miles. Chris left the band in 2007 and Pete and Dave were joined by guitar/banjo player Dan Stewart and the first album with Dan, no use in cryin', came out in 2009. The first two albums have now all but sold out and this is a compilation of tracks that the band found particularly popular with audiences. If you missed out on the earlier albums, you will enjoy this selection.
